Summary

This study tested whether an existing FDA-approved Parkinson's drug called istradefylline could help improve motivation and reduce apathy in people with Parkinson's disease. Over 12 weeks, researchers measured if patients became more engaged in physical activities and hobbies. The study was small and has been terminated.
