Vitamin d drug tested for debilitating pancreatitis pain
NCT ID NCT05664880
Summary
This small, early-stage study is checking if it's practical to test a vitamin D-based medication called paricalcitol for chronic pancreatitis. It will involve 24 adults to see if the drug is well-tolerated and might improve their quality of life and pain. The main goal is to gather information to plan a larger future trial, not to prove the treatment works yet.
