New parenting program aims to boost mental health in Low-Income preschoolers

Summary

This study tests a new mental health program for young children (ages 2-5) from low-income families enrolled in Head Start. About 160 parents and children will participate to see if the program improves children's behavior, anxiety, and social skills, and boosts parenting confidence. The program is delivered virtually by nurses and focuses on helping parents manage their child's emotions and behaviors.
