Should parents stay or go? dentists test what calms kids most
NCT ID NCT05125731
Summary
This study aimed to find out if having a parent in the room helps or hurts a child's comfort during a dental procedure. Researchers observed 72 children, aged 4-7, getting a cavity filled. The kids were randomly assigned to have their parent present, absent, or sitting behind a barrier, and their anxiety and behavior were carefully measured.
