Can a parent guide keep teens from drinking? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07664644

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 24, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a parent-based program can help teens ages 12-17 resist alcohol and navigate social media pressures. Researchers will compare two approaches: one where only parents get guidance, and another where both parents and teens receive personalized feedback. The goal is to see which method works best and how to implement it in real-world settings. 900 parent-teen pairs from Texas will take part.
