Can a Parent's phone app break the cycle of childhood anxiety?

NCT ID NCT05665491

Summary

This study aims to understand how anxious thinking patterns in parents might be passed on to their children. Researchers will test whether a smartphone app that teaches parents to interpret situations in less threatening ways can change parenting behaviors and reduce anxious thinking in children. The study involves 300 parent-child pairs and uses behavioral tasks and daily smartphone surveys to measure changes over four weeks.
