Can a calm parent lead to a calmer, less painful recovery for kids after surgery?
NCT ID NCT06404879
Summary
This study looked at whether a parent's anxiety before their young child's groin-area surgery affects the child's own anxiety before the operation and their pain levels afterward. Researchers measured anxiety and pain in 81 children aged 2-6 and their parents. The goal was to understand this relationship to potentially improve recovery experiences for children having surgery.
