First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving a nerve block (paravertebral block) during chest surgery can help prevent problems like lung infections, trouble breathing, or fluid buildup. Researchers will track 500 adults having keyhole or robotic chest surgery to see if those who get the block have fewer complications. The goal is to learn if this simple pain-blocking technique can make recovery safer.
