Papaya leaf extract tested as dengue treatment for kids

NCT ID NCT07172100

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether papaya leaf extract syrup can raise low platelet counts in children aged 2–12 with dengue fever. One hundred children will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus the extract for three days. Researchers will compare platelet changes and whether fewer children need transfusions or intensive care.
