Summary

This study tests whether placing a tiny plastic tube (stent) in the pancreas can lower the chance of pancreatitis after a difficult bile duct procedure called ERCP. About 268 adults who need this procedure will be randomly assigned to get the stent or not. The main goal is to see if the stent reduces post-procedure pancreatitis rates.
