Nanoparticle 'Booster' tested to make radiation more powerful against tough pancreatic tumors

NCT ID NCT04484909

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new experimental treatment called NBTXR3 for people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer that is difficult to remove with surgery. The treatment involves injecting tiny nanoparticles directly into the tumor, which are then activated by a standard course of radiation therapy. The main goals are to find a safe and effective dose and to see if this combination can help control the cancer.
