Zapping tumors: new hope for tough pancreatic cancer?

NCT ID NCT03484299

Summary

This study is testing whether combining standard chemotherapy with a procedure called irreversible electroporation (IRE) is safe and effective for controlling advanced pancreatic cancer. IRE uses electrical pulses to damage and destroy tumor cells. The trial will enroll about 20 adults with stage III pancreatic cancer to see how well they tolerate the combined treatment and if it helps control the disease.
