Scientists grow Mini-Tumors to crack pancreatic Cancer's code
NCT ID NCT06615830
Summary
This study aims to see if advanced lab tests on a patient's tumor can predict how well standard chemotherapy will work. Researchers will grow miniature versions of tumors (organoids) from patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer and run genetic tests. They will then compare these lab predictions to how long patients actually live without their cancer getting worse on their prescribed treatments. The goal is to gather knowledge for future, more personalized treatment approaches.
