Tiny 'Test Drive' implant could help find best drugs for pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT07254091

Summary

This early study is testing the safety of a tiny, implantable device in patients with pancreatic cancer who are already scheduled for surgery. The device, placed and removed during the operation, releases tiny amounts of different chemotherapy drugs into the tumor tissue to see how the cancer cells react. The main goal is to see if using this device is safe and to learn if it can help doctors understand which drugs might work best for an individual's cancer before starting full treatment.
