First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of four drugs (paclitaxel protein bound, gemcitabine, cisplatin, and paricalcitol) given before surgery to people with pancreatic cancer that could be removed or was borderline removable. The goal was to see if this treatment could shrink tumors enough to allow complete surgical removal. Forty participants were enrolled, and researchers measured tumor markers and how many tumors could be fully removed with clear margins.
