Scientists test new way to spy on pancreatic cancer cells

NCT ID NCT05247164

Summary

This study tested a new method to collect and analyze cancer cells from the blood of pancreatic cancer patients. During a standard diagnostic procedure, doctors took an extra blood sample from a specific vein near the liver to see if the cancer cells found there could help predict how the disease will progress. The main goals were to see if this extra step was safe and possible, and to learn if the information gathered could help guide future treatment decisions.
