First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests an artificial intelligence model called PANDAPro that helps doctors find pancreatic cancer on regular CT scans. The goal is to catch cancers that might otherwise be missed, especially in early stages. The trial will involve 100,000 people aged 18-90 who have had chest or abdominal CT scans. If successful, this AI tool could enable widespread, low-cost screening for pancreatic cancer.
