New pill aims to tame carcinoid syndrome symptoms

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called paltusotine against a placebo in 141 adults with carcinoid syndrome caused by neuroendocrine tumors. The goal is to see if paltusotine can reduce daily episodes of flushing and diarrhea, which are common symptoms. Participants will record their symptoms in a diary, and the study lasts at least 12 weeks with long-term follow-up.
