Can early palliative care in emergencies give cancer patients a better final chapter?

NCT ID NCT06150027

Summary

This study aims to see if automatically referring cancer patients to palliative care during emergency room visits leads to less aggressive medical treatments at the end of life and better quality of life. It will involve 240 adult cancer patients in France whose disease is not curable. Patients will be randomly assigned to either receive the standard emergency care or to be automatically connected with a palliative care team.
