Can a simple computer nudge help doctors provide better care for dying patients?
NCT ID NCT05502861
Summary
This large study is testing whether a simple electronic reminder in hospital computer systems can help doctors provide better end-of-life care for seriously ill patients. The reminder prompts doctors to either provide comfort care themselves or call a specialist team. Researchers will track whether this approach helps patients spend more time out of the hospital and improves their quality of life during serious illness.
