Study maps the hidden toll of caring for a dying loved one at home
NCT ID NCT00921232
Summary
This study aimed to understand the emotional burden experienced by terminally ill cancer patients and their primary caregivers when planning a return home for end-of-life care. Researchers surveyed 139 patient-caregiver pairs to measure stress, anxiety, and relationship factors. The goal was to identify what makes this transition harder or easier, to better support families during this difficult time.
