New approach aims to ease pain and improve recovery after throat cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT05862792

Summary

This study is testing whether a long-acting numbing medicine, injected directly into the surgical area, can better control pain and help swallowing function after robotic surgery for throat cancer. Researchers will compare patients who receive this injection to those who do not, with both pain control methods being standard care. The main goals are to measure daily pain levels and assess swallowing ability during recovery.
