First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested two drugs, magnesium sulfate and dexmedetomidine, to see which works better for pain control during bladder tumor surgery. 93 adults having surgery under spinal anesthesia took part. Results showed that magnesium sulfate lowered pain scores, delayed the need for painkillers, and reduced total painkiller use compared to the other drug, with no major safety concerns.
