This study tests whether a long-acting form of the painkiller bupivacaine (called liposomal bupivacaine) can reduce the need for opioid pain medicine after laparoscopic liver, gallbladder, or pancreas surgery. Sixty adults aged 18–80 will receive either the long-acting painkiller mixed with regular bupivacaine or regular bupivacaine alone, both injected near the ribs under ultrasound guidance. The main goal is to see if the long-acting version lowers total opioid use in the first 72 hours after surgery.
