Summary

This study tested a special nerve block (serratus anterior plane block) to see if it could reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers like fentanyl in children after heart surgery. 48 children having heart surgery through a chest incision took part. The goal was to find a safer way to manage pain after surgery.
