New pain cocktail challenges expensive standard in kidney surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT07092566
Summary
This study compares two different pain control methods for patients having robotic kidney removal surgery. Researchers want to see if a new combination of four common pain medications (called R.E.C.K.) works as well as the more expensive standard medication (Exparel) at reducing pain after surgery. The trial will measure pain levels, how much opioid and other pain medicine patients need, and how long they stay in the hospital to determine which option provides better value.
