First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests if a special nerve block (SPSIPB) can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after minimally invasive heart surgery. Sixty adults having heart bypass surgery will be split into two groups: one gets the nerve block plus standard pain care, the other gets standard care alone. The main goal is to see if the block lowers opioid use and improves recovery.
