New injection tested to ease pain during abortion prep

NCT ID NCT07487246

Summary

This study aims to find a better way to manage pain for people having cervical preparation the day before a second-trimester abortion. Researchers are testing if an injection that combines a numbing medicine (lidocaine) with an anti-inflammatory medicine (ketorolac) around the cervix reduces pain more effectively. The study will involve 76 participants to compare pain levels and satisfaction with this new approach.
