Summary

This study tested whether combining two drugs—dextromethorphan (taken by mouth) and lidocaine (given through a vein)—could ease nerve pain in people with spinal cord injuries. 26 adults with long-term pain took part. The goal was to see if the drug mix reduced pain intensity better than a placebo.
