NCT ID NCT04990713
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study compares two pain relief methods for people having lung surgery with small incisions (VATS). One group gets a single shot of numbing medicine near the ribs, while the other gets that shot plus a continuous drip of numbing medicine through a small tube placed under the chest muscle. The goal is to see if the extra drip improves recovery quality, pain scores, and reduces hospital visits. About 200 adults undergoing planned lung surgery are being recruited.
