New study aims to ease pain after common chest surgery in teens

Summary

This study looks at three different ways to manage pain after surgery for pectus excavatum, a common chest wall deformity in teens. The goal is to find which method works best to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers. About 158 patients aged 12 to 21 will be randomly assigned to one of the three pain relief approaches.
