New drug combo tested to stop surgery pain before it starts
NCT ID NCT07421427
Summary
This study is testing whether adding one of two extra medications (amantadine or duloxetine) to a standard pain drug (pregabalin) can better prevent long-term pain after mastectomy surgery. It will involve 150 women undergoing breast cancer surgery. Researchers will track who develops chronic pain, measure pain levels, quality of life, and side effects to see which combination works best.
