Spray could ease agony of surgery drainage tubes
NCT ID NCT07294755
Summary
This study is testing if a simple spray of numbing medicine into the chest during lung surgery can reduce the sharp pain patients often feel from their drainage tubes afterward. Researchers will compare two different numbing sprays against a placebo spray in 300 adults having minimally invasive lung surgery. The main goal is to see which option best controls pain in the first few days after the operation.
