New pain jab could make hemorrhoid surgery recovery much easier

Summary
This study tests whether a new, long-acting painkiller (liposomal bupivacaine) can provide better and longer pain relief after hemorrhoid surgery compared to the standard painkiller. About 156 adults having hemorrhoid surgery will receive one of the two painkillers injected into the surgical area. The goal is to see if the new drug reduces the need for extra pain medication and improves recovery.
