First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests three different pain relief methods for people having gallbladder removal surgery. The goal is to see which method reduces pain and the need for strong opioid drugs the most. About 132 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either a local numbing injection, a nerve block in the back, or a small dose of morphine in the spine. The results will help doctors choose the best approach for faster recovery and less medication.
