Summary

This study tested whether adding a drug called nefopam to standard morphine pain relief could help manage pain better after major colon surgery. It involved 80 adults undergoing planned surgery for colon cancer or diverticulosis. The main goal was to see if this combination could safely reduce the total amount of morphine needed by patients after their operation.
