First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding dexmedetomidine or dexamethasone to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) in a specific nerve block (RISS block) could provide longer pain relief after breast removal surgery. 70 adult women undergoing modified radical mastectomy took part. The main goal was to see how long it took before they needed additional pain medicine.
