New study tests better pain relief for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06533566

Summary

This study compared two methods for managing pain after breast cancer surgery. Researchers tested whether an ultrasound-guided nerve block in the back was more effective than injecting pain medication directly into the surgical wound. The goal was to find the best way to reduce pain and limit the need for strong opioid painkillers after a mastectomy.
