First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study compared two pain relief methods for people having their bladder removed (radical cystectomy). Twenty adults received either a thoracic epidural or an ultrasound-guided nerve block. Researchers measured how long pain relief lasted, pain scores, and the amount of extra pain medicine needed. The goal was to see which method worked better and had fewer side effects.
