NCT ID NCT07237945
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at two methods to control pain after a single-level lumbar discectomy (back surgery). One is a newer ultrasound-guided nerve block (QIPB), the other is standard wound infiltration. Researchers will follow 60 adults for 24 hours after surgery to measure pain levels, opioid use, and recovery. The goal is to find which approach offers better pain relief and reduces the need for strong painkillers.
