New study: pain lessons plus exercise may ease senior suffering
NCT ID NCT07287501
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether teaching older adults about how pain works, combined with supervised exercise, can reduce chronic pain and improve daily life. One hundred people aged 65 and older with pain lasting over 3 months will be split into three groups: exercise only, exercise plus 8 weeks of pain education, or exercise plus 32 weeks of pain education. The goal is to see if adding education makes a bigger difference than exercise alone.
