New video therapy aims to ease pain and restore purpose for advanced cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05385965

Summary

This study is testing a video-based therapy program designed to help people with advanced cancer manage their pain. The program teaches coping skills and focuses on helping patients find meaning and purpose despite their illness. About 210 adults with advanced solid tumors and significant pain will be randomly assigned to either try this new program or receive standard care. Researchers will check in to see if the program helps reduce how much pain interferes with daily life and improves well-being.
