New approach aims to cut opioid use after common shoulder surgery

NCT ID NCT07076069

Summary

This study compares two pain management approaches for adults recovering from rotator cuff repair surgery. Researchers want to see if a combination of non-narcotic medications works as well as or better than the current standard, which relies more on opioid painkillers. The goal is to find effective pain relief that reduces dependence on narcotics while keeping patients comfortable during recovery.
