New combo cuts post-surgery pain for colorectal patients

Summary
This study looked at whether adding ketamine or a fentanyl skin patch to a standard nerve block (erector spinae plane block) could improve pain control after laparoscopic colorectal surgery. 120 adults who were generally healthy (ASA I or II) took part. The main goal was to see how long it took before they needed extra pain medicine after surgery.
