Timing is everything: new study aims to pinpoint best moment for surgery pain relief

NCT ID NCT07440940

Summary

This study is looking at the best time to give a numbing injection to help control pain after keyhole gallbladder surgery. Patients will be randomly chosen to get the injection either right before the surgery starts or right after it finishes. Researchers will then compare how much pain patients feel, how much pain medicine they need, and how quickly they recover.
