New nerve block aims to cut opioid use after colon surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether a special nerve block given during left-sided colorectal surgery can better control pain and reduce the need for opioids. About 400 adults having minimally invasive surgery will be observed. The goal is to see if this approach leads to less pain, less nausea, and a faster recovery.
