New study aims to cut opioid use in painful chest surgeries
NCT ID NCT06507293
Summary
This study is comparing two different nerve block techniques to see which one better controls pain and reduces the need for opioid painkillers during and after chest surgery. Researchers will use a special finger monitor to measure patients' pain levels more accurately during the operation. The goal is to find safer, more effective pain management that helps patients recover faster with fewer side effects.
