Could a simple pain block speed up C-Section recovery?

NCT ID NCT05840406

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a specific type of pain-blocking injection (called a TAP block) to standard pain medication after a planned C-section could help the surgical wound heal better. Researchers tested this in 105 women by comparing standard care to two different TAP block formulas. They measured wound healing, stress hormones, and markers of inflammation to see if better pain control led to faster recovery.
