Can a higher dose of numbing medicine keep arm surgery pain away longer?

Summary
This study compares three doses of a medicine called dexmedetomidine added to a standard numbing shot for arm surgery. The goal is to see if a higher dose keeps the arm numb and pain-free longer. About 69 adults having elbow, forearm, or hand surgery will take part.
