New study aims to find best pain block for lung surgery patients

Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks (erector spinae block vs. intercostal block) to see which provides better pain relief after lung surgery. About 120 adults having video-assisted lung surgery will be enrolled. Researchers will measure pain scores and the amount of pain medication needed in the first 48 hours after surgery.
